Galen H. Brown

getget Galen H. Brown (b. 1979) is a composer of post-minimalist music and a regular contributor to Sequenza21.com. His music uses the repetitive figures and evolutionary techniques of minimalism, but has a more rapidly changing harmonic structure than the music of many of his prececessors and contemporaries.
Brown attended Brandeis University (1997-1999), Dartmouth College (A.B. Music, 2001), and New England Conservatory (M.M. Composition, 2004). He studied primarily with David Rakowski, Jon Appleton, Kui Dong, and Lee Hyla.
