Summary

[Project Copernicus] is a professional chamber orchestra and ensemble based in Miami, Florida. We take our inspiration from the vision and courage of the great astronomer Nicholas Copernicus. In the same way that Copernicus the astronomer realigned our perception of the physical universe, Copernicus the project strives to realign the musical paradigm. The group’s primary mission is to perform the music of living composers while encouraging collaborations with people of all creative disciplines. Our repertoire encompasses styles of music ranging from experimental to popular, and we are particularly interested in presenting new music that connects with the broad audiences that we aim to reach. We are also committed to performing in unusual venues, bringing our work to underserved communities and conducting educational outreach in fresh, vibrant and unexpected ways. Upcoming collaborations include work with filmmakers, visual artists, poets, furniture and interior designers, building and landscape architects and scientists. If you have an idea for collaboration or a score for submission please don’t hesitate to contact us at the e-mail address below. We look forward to working with you.
